The BD550 is a new entry level Blu-ray Player from LG. One of four new players LG is introducing in 2010. The BD550 is the least expensive, with a price range of under $200.00. It is very similar to the BD570 model. The big difference between the two is that this model does not have any Wi-Fi options. However, the BD550 is equipped with some great features and has a very reasonable price tag.
The OPPOBDP-83 Blu-ray Player is a multi-function player that combines several different technologies into one, playing videos but with a CD/DVD audio capability too, all in the one player. This machine is the business. It will play most types of commercial media including Blu-ray, DVD, Audio DVD, SCAD, and CDs too of course. The BDP-83 has the complete function range and is fully automatic, so it doesn’t matter what sort of disk you put in, it will automatically recognize it, select the appropriate program and play it. You don’t have to do anything; it’s all done for you.
It’s time to up grade to the next level in your home entertainment arsenal. After reviewing countless articles and websites for the best value and performance, I have narrowed my choice down to the LG BD370. The price has been reduced by at least $100 since it was first released late in 2008. My logic is simple when purchasing high tech equipment-wait until the hype is over and purchase my items for a huge discount. 2010 is almost here and the new stuff from 2009 is old news making them available at bargain basement prices.
Panasonic has revealed its new Blu-ray Players coming out this year. One of which is the DMP-BD85, currently available to purchase. A good sign for consumers is that Panasonic has made some significant improvements to their players this year. For example the DMP-BD85 has better audio processing and Vera Cast has increased its online services to provide us with more movies and TV shows.

| Review by Rod E. Reichardt (Austin, TX) 2010-07-28 Pros: Beautiful Blu-Ray with quick start. Easy to set up. WiFi works great. Lots of internet media options. Netflix streams in HD. The menus are simple and easy to navigate. Cons: Seems a little touchy about the router you use. Had I not had to chase an X-Box live issue I may not have solved a Netflix issue so quickly. Sum... | Review by Robert D. Keller (Acworth, Ga. USA) 2010-07-08 I was looking at the Oppo BD-83 for a while. I waited, because I don't think paying 500.00 for a Blu-Ray player was worth it. I knew the Sony 1000ES was 700.00. So, I still was hesitant. I wanted a player that did what a player is suppose to do, just play discs, with GREAT picture and Audio. Bells and whistles belong on Cell Phones, even though thi... Read more Sony BDPS1000ES Blu-ray reviews | ||

| Review by Marc Alan (California) 2010-06-16 The BDP-S560 is very easy to use and provides as good a Blu-ray picture as I have seen (I still maintain that in general BR is not that much better than a well upconverted DVD on a good HDTV and I have seen some BRs that don't even look that good). Once you set up the wireless conection and set it to autoupdate firmware you don't even have to thin... Read more Sony BDP-S560 1080p reviews | ||
