Like most cinephiles, I have a lot of VHS and DVD, and I'm not going to rebuy all my favorites. I chose this unit because I would have all three types of media, with an element of play, and the boy I'm glad I did! Before buying this system, we actually stopped watching our VHS collection. The fuzzy, grainy mess was just too many distractions to see our 42 "plasma. Panasonic made such a huge difference in the VHS picture and sound quality we were really looking at some of our old tapes. Note, the VHS is not so clear like a DVD or Blu-Ray, but our old favorites are virtually no distortion or static and the sound is at least 10 times better. I'm really surprised at how the quality actually improved. This really brought our library VHS back from the dead.

11/28/08 I bought this BD player from Amazon at a price well below MSRP. It provides superior picture and sound quality. I recently discovered that Panasonic has discontinued this model. This is a disgrace to every request, an excellent player and a good price.

The player is fine, no cons "" again, except the remote control ….
I have owned three BD players, an HD-to-date, and this is by far the worst I've seen from a distance. I have better remotes for $ 39 DVD players without names. Eject button or not? Sony, I know that you could do better. This will never see the light of day, its in the draw for you to raise the Oppo streaming!

I honestly think that there are some great products that are advertised on television, although I don’t buy a lot of them. They are often referred to as products as seen on TV and many of them are not available anywhere else. Of course, this isn’t always the case, but it is for some of the products. Selling your product in a store is not the only best way to make a great profit nowadays.
